Proving Ground is the ninth release under Tony hawk’s skateboarding game franchise and I have to admit that I get pulled in to the hype every time. Pro Skater hit the gaming scene in 1999 and immediately hooked skater wannabe’s around the world. Nearly a decade later, almost every aspect of the game is better, but the concept stays the same which is why we keep coming back for more. Proving Ground is supposed to be the largest and most interactive Tony Hawk game to date set on the East Coast this time around including city scenes from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.. Of course, Proving Ground has also been beefed up with new story lines, tricks, levels and more should keep you busy for at least a few days or so.

But other than some new scenery and a few new tricks, etc. this is pretty much the same old Tony Hawk game it always has been which can get a little old depending on what you are looking for. Good thing is that you have some decent options now including Skate released under EA Games. But if you have always had fun playing classic Tony Hawk, then Proving Ground (available this week) will definitely not disappoint. Check out the Proving Ground game trailer here.
