GT-RAfter a quickie vacation in New York City last week, MassivePress.com is back and ready for action. There was a ton of news that hit the web while we were out, and in this week’s Mashed Up Web Mix I plan on outlining a few of the more interesting ones. First off, Autoblog.com has up close and personal shots of the new Nissan GT-R. “Forget about every other car you’ve read about at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. According to CountingDown.com, the long awaited X-Files 2 movie is a go and should be ready for a 2008 release. “The long-awaited second “X-Files” film is finally a go, with 20th Century Fox setting a July 25, 2008 release date, reports Variety. Untitled project reunites “X-Files” creator Chris Carter will thesps David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, who will reprise their signature roles as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.” Read More…

Samsung has a new full touch DAP, and Engadget has the details. “After a month or so of delays, Samsung has finally launched its P2 media player in the States; and it’s not putting the 3-inch touchscreen sporting, flash-based, Bluetooth-enabled DAP out there all by its lonesome. Today Samsung announced MPfreedom, a website with info and customization doohickeys, and of course content partnerships with the likes of CinemaNow, Rhapsody and Napster.” Read More…
