New “More Affordable” Keyport’s in 2008

You might have never heard about the wonderfully overpriced Keyport key fob that is sure to change your jeans pocket forever, but gadget freaks can rejoice in the fact that they will be releasing a more affordable version of the miracle slide device next year. Just to fill in the blanks for those that have no idea of what the Keyport Slide is… think of it as the Segway of key chains. Something you don’t really need, but would definitely be cool to have. The Keyport Slide simplifies your mangled mess of key organization by cutting the heads off of all your keys and putting the most important part in a small fob that allows you quick and easy access to your 6 most important keys with the flip of a finger. After hearing about the Keyport nearly a year ago, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one. Finally, last month, they opened up their store for the limited edition Keyport available by invite only. Somehow, I couldn’t bring myself to spend the $295 plus shipping and handling to pick up the limited edition but they announced this week that there will be a $50 version out next year which seems very reasonable.
