Death Cab for Cutie fans will be happy to know that there is a new album in the works which is currently scheduled for a May 2008 release date. Until yesterday the new album had no name, but Death Cab has finally settled on “Narrow Stairs” as the official album title. No single previews yet, but you can take a peek at some studio footage from “Narrow Stairs” here.

Also, Death Cab’s Chris Walla has a new solo album out that is definitely worth having a listen. “Field Manual” is available in stores as of yesterday, or for your listening pleasure at mtvu.com.
