Conceptualized and designed by Baek Uyeol, the Faucet Buddy brings your boring old sink to the next level. Simply attach it to any standard faucet, turn on the water and the Faucet Buddy will tell you how much water you are using as well as the current temperature via a nifty looking display. You will never get burned again by sink water because the Faucet Buddy actually illuminates flowing water red or blue depending on the current temperature.

The Faucet Buddy concept is actually meant to help you conserve water by telling you how much water is going down the drain but I think geek consumers might actually use more water just to see it in action. This is only a concept for now, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see something very similar hit the market sooner than later.

Look out Mini, the Audi A1 “Metroproject” Quattro concept is confirmed and ready to be unveiled at the 2007 Tokyo motor show. At 3.91m long and 1.75m wide with a wheelbase of 2.46m, this is the smallest Quattro ever to hit the streets. In this case I’m not sure that size really matters because the Metroproject’s looks definitely make up for it’s measurements with brushed aluminum exterior window frame arches, virtually seamless pillars, massive grille shield and angry LED’s. This little fella is powered by a 1.4L TFSI engine featuring a S-tronic dual-clutch gearbox. If you need a little extra punch, there is an extra rear mounted 41hp electric motor that will engage as necessary to assist and adapt to your driving style. For city cruising you can switch to “pure electric mode” and save a little gas.

The “retro modern” aluminum and leather trimmed interior not only looks good but is totally “digital lifestyle” friendly. Just take a look at the integrated multimedia console featuring an album art coverflow interface that even puts the iPhone to shame. This is not confirmed, but from the looks of this interior console shot you might even be able plug your iPod, iPhone or any other Mp3 player right into the dash and control it all from your Audi’s head unit.

What would happen if every blog published posts discussing the same issue, on the same day? Well, the world is about to find out, because today is blog action day, and the topic is the environment. BlogActionDay.com was set up to unite bloggers together to raise awareness about the environment, and MassivePress.com is all over it. All you have to do is think about your typical day and how you can help by doing things slightly differently that you usually would. Even if it’s just for today, you actions can make a big difference. It’s as easy as recycling that plastic bottle you usually toss in the trash or turning off the heat before you leave the house, maybe hitch a ride to that baseball game tonight, or make sure your dishwasher is full before you run it. These are just a few basic concepts that can really make a difference and if you have a few extra minutes you should check out TreeHugger’s “plethora of handy guides to help you green your lives”. Or, if you simply don’t have the time to think about it, maybe just donate a few dollars to the charity of your choice such as Green Peace, The Nature Conservatory, The National Wildlife Federation, The Sierra Club Foundation or The Conservation Fund just to name a few.

Call it what you want, but the Tesseract concept is Yamaha’s take on a 4 wheeled motorcycle. Quad dirt bikes have been around for years, so why not bring the same idea to the streets. You have to admit that the thing looks pretty fricken bad ass, but will it’s ride live up to it’s looks. All four wheels are mounted on independent swing arms which allows the bike to lean just like conventional motorcycles. What makes this concept better than conventional two wheelers is that fact that four wheels will make the bike more stable in all aspects of the ride. Also, you could say that all motorcycles are environmentally friendly but this particular bike steps it up a notch with a hybrid V-Twin/Electric powerhouse. This is all the information we have for now, but check back later for more info and media on the Tesseract concept.

It’s good to see more paper based publications go fully digital these days, but ONBOARD Magazine is taking one step further by establishing their name and magazine as a digital only publication. The idea of paper based printing is becoming a thing of the past as the digital lifestyle becomes easier and cheaper for people to consume and for companies to produce. Not to mention that using less paper helps the environment in many ways. ONBOARD Digital will be a forever FREE snowboarding mag that will include a “multimedia blend of action packed video, amazing images, animated flash and funny-ass text delivering complete coverage of all that is snowboarding this season”.

I hope that more publications get the hint and start to provide their magazines online and for FREE. The key word being FREE because most publications make 99% of their earnings potential through embedded advertisements within content. FHM magazine is a classic example of how things are changing. FHM recently dumped their paper based magazine in the US and are now completely online. Fact is they probably couldn’t afford it, or it didn’t make sense to maintain their traditional paper based magazine because most of us head online anyway to get the latest updates.

The premiere issue of ONBOARD Mag will be available on October 17th with a new issue available every two weeks after that. All you have to do is sign up and each new issue will be delivered right to your email address. People that sign up before the first issue automatically get entered to win a full setup from Forum snowboards.

Maybe it’s time for a new wallet and maybe you should think about getting something that looks a little more up to par. There are a ton of great new vehicles and concepts being debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and the X6 concept was the show stopper for BMW. Take an X5, shave a little here, trim a little there and you have the X6 concept. Oh… and for you green minded people out there, the X6 is one of the first Bimmer’s to showcase their petrol-electric hybrid powertrain. In short, the X6 is eco friendly and nice on the eyes too.
