If you have been looking for an ultra precision style racing game to add to your library, Burnout Paradise is definitely not the game for you. But if you just want to have some serious fun driving fast and crashing cars, the Burnout franchise is always a safe bet. Available in stores on January 22nd, Burnout Paradise is the Massive Press pick for game of the week. "Speed is an essential quality in driving games. Without it, you might as well be taking a Sunday drive in the family Yugo. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six "Vegas 2" is slated for a March 11th release this year, but we have the first breathtaking trailer right here for your viewing pleasure. To top the trailer, IGN has all the fine details on the sequel to Vegas. "Anyone who owned an Xbox 360 in November of 2006 picked up one of two games -- or, if you're lucky enough, you bought both -- Rainbox Six Vegas or Epic's Gears of War. While Gears was certainly the more hyped of the two titles, Rainbox Six Vegas rose to the forefront of many gamers' minds as a contender for Game of the Year. While it did concede the honors in the end, the series clearly made the jump to high-definition gaming much easier than others. Marvel is going huge as always for their next major movie release based on the classic graphic novel, "Iron Man", due in theaters in May of 2008. If you haven't seen the latest trailer, check it out here for a good teaser. But somehow, video game versions of blockbuster movies never seem to translate very well to consoles. However, after seeing the first trailer on Spike's VGA's this week, the Iron Man video game might actually stand a chance. Sure, you are always going to be guaranteed a few chinsy one liners in a game like this, but hopefully the action play sequences can sustain bad writing. The latest trailer for the highly anticipated 4th installment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise hit the world today, and we have it right here waiting for you. Too bad the scheduled release date (03.03.08) is still about four months out, but judging from the trailers, this one might actually be worth the wait. If you are a GTA fan, you probably have a ton of questions and IGN has answers for you in their latest Q&A with Rockstar where they dish up some new information about Grand Theft Auto IV. Who needs a Guitar Hero copycat when you can have the real thing for a fraction of the price... right? My first impression of Harmonix's latest 170 dollar release called "Rock Band" was just that right up until the reviews started rolling in. Considering Harmonix was the original developer for Guitar Hero before they sold the title to MTV, I guess it shouldn't be a surprise that they stepped it up a notch for Rock Band. After finally having a chance to demo Rock Band first hand with a few friends, you should know that this game is not intended to be another "Guitar Hero" wannabe. In fact it's hard to even compare the two simply because they are so different. Rock Band is a fantastic party game that should only come out of the closet when you have a group of people to play it. As a single player, it just doesn't hold up, and you will find that Guitar Hero takes the cake for solo riffs. As a multi player game however, Rock Band has more to offer by giving you the option play the drums, lead guitar or even hit the mic on lead vocals. The game ...

There are a few new notable game releases this week including the long awaited "Super Mario Galaxy" for the Wii, and "Assassin's Creed" for the x360 and PS3 consoles, but none of these have hit the mark in the gaming community like "Crysis". Gamespot.com quotes this PC based game as "easily one of the greatest shooters ever made" which is a pretty bold statement. In fact, none of the big gaming review sites really had anything bad to say about it, and if one word could sum Crysis up I think "Outstanding" would be it. Problem is that this is a PC based game, and you are going to need a little more than the average machine to play it. But considering fanboys have had more than 18 months to prepare for the release of Crysis, I am sure that if you plan on buying it you already have a machine with plenty of horsepower to run it. The latest Call of Duty release finally drops the 1940's for a more modern approach to war games. If you are looking for a solid game this week that is guaranteed to be a winner, "Modern Warfare" is probably your best bet. This game is getting reviewed as a solid 9.0 or above across the board and users today agree without contest. "It took awhile, but Infinity Ward finally got the message that World War II is played out. With modern times and international affairs becoming more and more, shall we say, interesting in recent years, the 1940s just don't carry as much weight as they used to. Perhaps that's why Call of Duty 4 has a new subtitle, Modern Warfare. By bringing things into a fictionalized story that still seems fairly plausible, the developer has made a much heavier game. But COD 4 is more than just an updated setting. It's also an amazing multiplayer first-person shooter and a great but brief single-player campaign with the visual chops to make it a standout shooter in an era filled with seemingly dozens of standout shooters."
