Anything starring Veronica Mars (AKA Kristen Bell) is definitely worth a watch, and after checking out the “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” trailer, I can’t wait for this movie to hit theaters. It looks a little something like American Pie meets Superbad mixed with a little Something About Mary and a few others. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is due for a April 18th 2008 release. “It has grown on me,” Craig told reporters on the film’s set at Pinewood Studios near London on Thursday. “It doesn’t trip off the tongue. But why should it?”

Producer Michael G. Wilson said the title, chosen only a few days ago, was taken from a story by Bond creator Ian Fleming that appears in the collection “For Your Eyes Only.”"

Lions for Lambs was a HUGE bomb, but if you thought Tom Cruse was a goner, you were wrong. For once in a few years he might be regaining a little respect in a film I am actually very excited about called “Valkyrie“. The “July 20 Plot” on Hitler’s life is one of the most heroic but least known episodes of World War Two. Severely wounded in combat, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg returns from Africa to join the German Resistance and help create Operation Valkyrie, the complex plan that will allow a shadow government to replace Hitler’s once he is dead. Happy Madison productions is back with another quality release called “Strange Wilderness” starring funny man Steve Zahn. The plot goes a little something like… “A pair of animal enthusiasts attempt to boost the ratings of their “Strange Wilderness” TV show by heading to the Andes in search of Bigfoot.” The trailer pretty much speaks for itself which can be viewed by clicking here.

I can hardly believe it, but Rambo is back and I’m not really sure that this is a good thing but I will let you judge for yourself. “John Rambo has retreated to northern Thailand, living a solitary and peaceful life in the mountains and jungles. A group of human rights missionaries search him out and ask him to guide them into Burma to deliver medical supplies. When the aid workers are captured by the Burmese army, Rambo decides to venture alone into the war zone to rescue them.” Click here for the brand new “Rambo” trailer.

Loosely based on a true story, “21” is about a group of students from MIT that learn the art of card counting and walk away from Las Vegas with millions of dollars. Most of you should know the story if you were somewhat conscious in the 90’s, which makes this film all the more exciting. Plus, if you are a Kevin Spacey fan, you will be happy to know that this is a Kevin Spacey production which counts for a few extra points in my book. “Awake“, starring Jessica Alba (need I say more) is a psych thriller that tells the story of a man undergoing heart surgery while experiencing a phenomenon called “anesthetic awareness,” which leaves him awake but paralyzed throughout the operation. As various obstacles present themselves, his wife (Alba) must make life-altering decisions while wrestling with her own personal drama. Click here for the latest “Awake” trailer.

Next up… “P2” which apparently takes place entirely in a parking garage, kinda like that episode of Seinfeld. The quick and dirty plot outline of P2 starts as a young business woman works late and finds herself being tapped in her office building and being stocked by a nutso security guard. “Jumper” is a sci-fi flick that plays a bit on the success of Heroes. Basically, some dude realizes that a genetic anomaly allows him to teleport anywhere he wants to go. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years between “Jumpers” and those who have sworn to kill them. “Before The Devil Knows Your Dead” is a suspense thriller about a family facing the worst enemy of all — itself. Andy, an overextended broker who lures his younger brother, Hank (Ethan Hawke), into a larcenous scheme: the pair will rob a suburban mom-and-pop jewelry store that appears to be the quintessential easy target. The problem is, the store owners are Andy and Hank’s actual mom and pop and, when the seemingly perfect crime goes awry, the damage lands right at their doorstep. “27 Dresses” is one for all the ladies… and guys that will be forced to see it along with them. This is your typical chick flick starring Katherine Heigl from Knocked Up and Greys Anatomy. “After serving as a bridesmaid 27 times, a young woman (Heigl) wrestles with the idea of standing by her sister’s side as her sibling marries the man she’s secretly in love with.” Check out the latest 27 Dresses trailer here.

“The Rocket” is about a young boy from blue collar Quebec, Maurice Richard had a dream to play in the National Hockey League. This is the extraordinary story of the man whose tireless fight on and off the ice ignited and forever chenged a generation. Check out the latest “Rocket” trailer here.

Next up… What will it sound like when you die? In “One Missed Call“, a chain of people receive terrifying cell phone messages of their own final fatal moments.

If you are looking for something animated, “I am Legend, Awakening” might work for you, but this is definitely not a kids movie. A deadly virus has taken hold of the world - rejected by a few (the immune), killing many (the dead), and leaving the rest (the infected) - who live on to hunt the living, after dark.

Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti together in one movie is bound to be good for at least a few laughs. Fred Claus has lived almost his entire life in his little brother’s very large shadow. Fred tried, but he could never live up to the example set by the younger Nicholas, who was just a perfect…well…Saint. Check out the latest “Fred Claus” trailer here.

Wrapping up the list this week is Weirdsville… When Dexter and Royce, a couple of dope-head slackers, mistakenly assume their friend Matilda has overdosed they figure they can’t call the cops because she’s OD’d on stolen drugs. So, they naturally decide to bury her body themselves in the basement of the small town’s Drive-In Theatre that is closed for the winter.

A few other movies opening this weekend include drama/thriller “Trade“, adventure/comedy “The Darjeeling Limited” starring Luke Wilson and romance/drama “Feast of Love” starring Morgan Freeman and Selma Blair. So if The Kingdom isn’t your style, you still have plenty to choose from this weekend at the theater. Considering there will be a few million people playing Halo 3, the theaters should be nice and empty.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be released to theaters Memorial Day of 2008. Other than a name, there really isn’t much else out there yet that gives fans a better idea of what the 4th installment will be about.
